Bending mesh is a replacement part inside the bending section of a flexible endoscope. If you repair endoscopes, you may need to order it from time to time. The two numbers you need first are the outer diameter (OD) and the length. This guide shows how to measure the old part and what to send us, so we can check the fit before you order.
What our bending mesh listings show
We list each bending mesh by its OD and its length, both in millimetres (mm). For example, “Bending Mesh OD 11.8mm × L 130mm” tells you the size and nothing more. It does not name a scope model. So the size alone cannot tell you that the part fits your endoscope.
How to measure the old part
- Outer diameter: measure in the middle and at both ends. Write down all three numbers.
- Length: measure the whole piece without stretching it.
- Damage: if the old part is bent, flat or worn, tell us. Damage can change the numbers.
- Marks: take a photo of any letters, numbers or colour marks.
Why size is not enough
Two meshes can have the same length but a different diameter. Two scopes from the same brand can also use different parts. So please always send the scope model together with your measurements.

Common questions
Can I order by size only? We do not advise it. Use the size to find a part, then let us confirm the fit with your scope model.
Does each listing show the scope models? Not for bending mesh. Each one shows OD and length only, so send us your scope model and we will check it with you.
Is the photo the exact part? The photo is a sample image of bending mesh. If you want a photo of one specific size, ask us.
Can you make a special size? We can make custom parts from your drawing or a sample. We confirm each request one by one.
