Biopsy channel tubing is simple in appearance, but small specification differences matter. Ordering only by scope brand or by a rough length can lead to a tube that does not fit the intended repair.
Before you buy, confirm three areas: dimensions, material needs, and the final assembly format. These checks make a supplier’s answer much more useful.
1. Confirm the tube dimensions
Start with the complete endoscope model. Then provide the tubing length, inner diameter, and outer diameter. Use millimeters and explain whether the values come from a drawing, an original part, or a removed used tube.
Inner diameter affects the usable channel opening. Outer diameter affects how the tube fits within the scope assembly. Length matters at the connection points. One correct number does not make the whole tube correct.
If the removed tube is stretched, cut, or heat-damaged, note that condition. A damaged sample may not be a reliable source for every measurement.
2. State the material and flexibility you need
Different tubing materials can have different surface, flexibility, wall, and handling characteristics. Some buyers ask for PTFE tubing, while others use another specified material. Do not choose from the material name alone. The complete tube specification and intended scope model still need to match.
Tell the supplier which material was previously approved, if known. If you are comparing an alternative, request a sample and let your technical team check it against its own assembly and acceptance requirements.
A supplier should not promise that every tube with the same material name will perform in exactly the same way. Dimensions, processing, connectors, and the rest of the assembly also matter.
3. Show the connector and assembly format
Some orders are for tubing only. Others need prepared ends, connectors, or a more complete channel assembly. State what you expect to receive and ask the supplier to list what is included in the quotation.
Send close photos of both ends and any connector or transition feature. If you have a drawing or approved sample code, include it. For repeat orders, use the same reference rather than sending only a new photo.
